Do you have a list of any other changes made? I see edits to lots of the scripts that don't affect new units etc

What do you think about first Holland mission? I think they dont land:(( But I'll look at again maybe I made a mistake. But new units are good. I liked Swiss units(jager, hussars and pikeman). Piedmont dragoon and pope is also good. Thanks for nations. Good work.

Hi (I already posted it in the bugs post but I think I better post it here as well since it may be not a bug)

I just read a post in the facebook post.
"Where is switzerlands unique 17th troops? This sucks hard.....[IMG]:'("

I remember that they released last dlc without giving Portugal its unique shipyard (I looked in scripts they didnt even create it). According to that post they did the same with switzerland.

Is that true? Currently I am on travel and cant check.

    Yep, true.
No arquebusier, ladsknecht and halberdier for 17, only "unique" pikeman with some visual changes and "unique" jaeger and hussar for 18.

Suggestion for the next step: get rid of these people currently advising you on your poor attempt at e-sports.

This 0pt 1v1 thing is, by all means, ridiculous - it hardly ever makes use of more than 10% of the game content. Battles with a few dozen units (mostly mercs) and desperate economy raids? Really? There's AoE2 for that already, and you never did and never will beat that game niche. Cossacks thrives at team or ffa setups with some PT setting the stage for large, strategic, epic battles. You should know the most played settings by collecting server stats, and it's obviously not this 0pt freak show.

The argument that comes up often is that it was easy to cheat the system back then by farming noobs in FFA games. But your medicine is worse than the disease. You could tweak the amount of points earned or even make separate ladders instead of killing the fun for most of the community.

Freestyle you are absolutely wrong about most played rules. If you consider only players rooms it is ok to say that non 0pt are more popular, however it is obvious that most of the players play quick games, which is 0pt. Please don't manipulate clear facts. Fact is that ranking rules will be always the most popular because of quick games. Personally, I like current 5k 0pt, I liked 5k 10pt, but I have doubts about 20pt - I hope it won't be next rules after season.

I hope someday piedmont will have 3rd unit. Either would be 18c piieman , 17c swordsman or 18c musket. Because it looks that its a fastest resort to say nation is unique and give 1 unit. Ofc all is in future. Spain was improved as well :) . ATM well Piedmont dragoons doesnt look very different from common ones :) . The good thing is that Padre looks awesome and buildins as well! I really love the way devs made piedmontese buildings.
Switzerland looks a bit robbed because ppl got used to be it more unique as in cossacks 1 back to war. So ofc they miss swordmen , helbardiers , 17c musketeers. But the Mounted Chasseurs AND Jeagers looks pretty nice. I think actually this game has problem with coloring. For example their green uniforms even hurt the eyes. Doesnt feel natural blending s bit more to environment. Ofc it is a major problem here. ENGLAND (HIGHLANDER) electric blue hats hurts the eyes , Prussian Electric blue for musketeers as well. SAXONY grenadiers red looks if my eyes might pop-out. I really hope that in future colors could be a bit more friendly and natural ones. Ofc rest id say is okay! In future add some nation Musketeer without a moustache and some dragoons or jeagers with beards :p otherwise game will look very generic.

    What game are you playing?

There's only a handful of active players in quick games. Always the same dudes, plus random noobs that find the button to be appealing.

Speaking of manipulating clear facts, I just took this screenshot. When the top 15 guy plays like a casual there's something up with the ladder.

now that is unacceptable. the amount of errors is getting out of hand.
I can understand small errors like +11 dmg for one upgrade rather then +1.
missions that can be beaten due to wrong variables.
    random crashes

of course these errors are not fine but at least I have some patios for it

Edit: I may have been overreacted a little.
seems that at least 3 unique nations are available. But how much do they differ. just the visual or also the names and stats.

[BRP]Balin was trolling, he was one of the best polish players in first cossacks from the old times, thats why he was able to grown fast in the ranking.
I can say that only few people creates their own rooms too. It is common for me that there is only 2-3 rooms in the lobby. I can always play quick ranking game.

    ok just got it...
the 5 new units are avaiable BUT...

the names dont match, they have names like
    pikemanswiss, jagerswi, hussarswi, dragoon18pie

how has nodoby noticed that. padre works however

it was like that for me when the dlc just came out but was patched immediately.
The new units for what I have seen are nice. Swiss pikemen is a intermediate unit bewteen regular pike and coselete. The jaeger is similar to the french chasseur but with longer range and a bit slower reload he also take longer to build. The mounted jaeger is a better hussar but slower to build. The piemontese dragoon is faster to fie but wouldn't fare well in first line or melee due to less hp and defence. Padre is padre !

I think people are annoyed with the new units because for swiss they are less eye catching than in the first (he is the same as the artwork for the dlc plus a sword on the side) and there is no more swordsmen in their roster. And the Piedmont dragoon look a lot like a regular one.
Here some screenshot form gsc showing the new nations :

It is a very big pity that Switzerland does not have Swordsmen :(. Also unique Piedmont Dragoon looks almost the same as the standard Dragoon.

  17. Dear oh dear oh dear.. I agree, whilst I didn't play Piedmonte much in the first, I did play swiss quite a bit and they had a far more interesting selection of units in Cossacks 1.

And the ones they do have are so similar to the others it's hard work to distinguish them. Remove the gold frills from the original pike and give him a skirt instead then you've got the swiss pike. I was really hoping for the swordsman. (the only unit that looked a lot different was of course, the padre)

I wont repeat all of the faults but we know they can do better than this, the question is why?

At this rate we will have a lot of teams like venice where there are zero, literally zero unique units. You might as well pick another team.

This game needs previous Cossacks Back to War units and features. For example: Bedouin camel cavalry, 17th century Swiss arquebusier, ladsknecht and halberdier, Piedmont real Green dragoon etc. By the way, What happened 18th century ships? Ketch, 18th frigate, cutter etc. We also need trade with our allies. Soldiers need patrol territories. I think if you don't complete all features from Cossacks Back to war .You might be criticized.

Yes - Switzerland should have also Swordsmen and 17c. muskeeter. Hungary in first Cossacks had a Mounted Pandour unit.

Well baddog mod Piedmont dragoon looked 10x better than here on official :) The problem is : new nstion srises with some units that have new stats! But nothing encourages people to play with them unless theres rsndom nations map. Why should I choose Piedmont? If it has just dragoon? Which might not even be desirable unit to have... :-(
