creating a new faction?

    i remember some modders were able to create a custom faction, how did they do that or what files were they modding?

    The only person to do this is Wralth, he hasn't been on here for a couple of months.:(

    Creating a new faction entirely is a painstakingly annoying process because a couple things are REALLY nonobvious, like getting walls and gates to work.

    Also there is an internal indexation limit that is done by the .exe file itself, so if you want to create one faction that will be fine, however at some point if you keep adding stuff youll run into REALLY strange errors that you cant do anything about unless you revamp the engine entirely.

    what files did you mod to create the faction? i am only interested in making 1 faction

    Idk which files specifically anymore, but basically you have to edit every single one of the files that loop over country codes (including country and unit) and/or have functions for that defined in them plus the folders where you put in all the 3d models and textures you intend to use as well as calling all the units for fixed produce in country script as well as assigning numbers to all units in unit script as well as giving them formations and listing the country in hud and making it available for play in country script where they check for DLC as well as assigning peasants and assigning the corresponding walls to the country and making sure that your peasants have all the buildings they need.

    So overall not much tbh
