I, like everybody else, am frustrated by the lack of information and progress, but I also want a finished game that is complete and ready to play without my enjoyment being hampered by numerous patches.
There is a Horse Racing management game that I play which is on it's 6th incarnation, it's a good game but it was released far too early and I've lost count of how many patches have been sent out by the developers to fix the bugs in it. Of course each time there is a new patch you have to start the game from scratch to counter the bugs.
Therefore we must be patient, all good things come to those who wait.:D

I agree with you regarding an early game release, however most people just want a tiny sign of life - a screenshot, an interview, a small piece of unit art, anything! Most of the folks that want a tiny morsel of info are the guys that are long-standing fans. Surely to keep the 'core' players pumped for the next game, they need to dangle some more bait? ;)

I still wonder how C1 and AQ could be released, both games were bugged (AQ way more than C1).

Units do simply stop and therefore formations were so bad to use. Luckily there were not mandatory (unlike AQ).

I have no problems if the balance is somewhat weak and they make a balance patch later but I thing it will kill the game for me if C3 has the same bugs as C1 like auto stoping of units.

There is nothing like have a three hour multiplayer 4v4 and the game locks up and is lost, or having a bad AI in a solo game where 100% effective ambush points can be located and set up after playing just one game destroying retreating troops. Let the developers do what they need to do.

How many games were rushed to release to make the Christmas season or to boost end of quarter sales for a flagging developer or marketer?

Not a good idea for player, developer or marketer.
