Hello gentlemen, today released Iron Harvest: 1920+'s kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kingartgames/iron-harvest

It's basically Company of Heroes set in post World War 1 times with giant robots also known as "mechs".

If it's not already evident from the title of this just check out footage of the game to get a better understanding of what I'm talking about, and also maybe read some articles from the devs themselves saying that they're borrowing heavily from CoH.

Anyhow, it will also feature 3 main Factions, Polania, Rusviet and Saxony, which I think you can already guess on what real world nations they're based on.

I'm particularly interested in Saxony but of course I think many Cossacks fans will be interested in Polania and Rusviet as both Poland and Russia (pre-Soviet Union) are under portrayed in games.

Thanks in advance for reading my short text regarding the basic details of the game, if you want to read more about it feel free to do so on the kickstarter page as it goes a lot more in depth than I ever could.

Cheers and have a nice day!

They actually want a million bucks for multiplayer lmao.

They've stated that they've so far invested somewhere around a million in the game's development already, and that they've spoken to Publishers that have said that they want multiplayer in the game and that this additional million from the kickstarter would allow them to further expand the game to multiplayer and keep it indie as to have creative control over the game instead of some jackass from the Publisher company calling all the shots, something which probably lead to the downfall of games like Dawn of War 3 and the current down fall of games like Company of Heroes 2.

And since I know you're a modder you probably know that it's not easy to develop something from the ground up, not to mention the server costs and what not in order for multiplayer to function properly so have a little bit of respect for the developers.

And yes yes I know, that you shouldn't trust some people that nobody has heard of until now to make something so... big and ambitious however, I think they're trust worthy and care because they're pretty active on Facebook and constantly post updates, answer questions and even made polls to collect feedback from their future customers/fan base, something which many devs fail to do. This is also something the Hell Let Loose devs did as well and that's why I decided to support that game as too.

And don't think that I haven't been bitten before or that I'm just wasting mommy and daddy's money here, I work and I'm trying to save up money for my house and car right now, and I've been bitten from pre-ordering the Collector's Edition of Company of Heroes 2 which just turned out to be a big scam that just gaves us a couple of useless commanders for the first 2 Armies as well as some skins and that was about it, oh and the first 3 CoH games which I already owned.

Not to mention my bad experience with Early Access titles such as Rust and perhaps Verdun, I mean Verdun is a sweet game and one of it's kind right now (together with Tannenberg) but they both run like shit for me largely due to Unity's shitty optimization but anyhow. Rust was supposed to be a survival game and they turned it into some disgusting PvP type shit where you get killed the moment you spawn in, that was not the vision many people supported and payed for, including me.

But least I think I didn't make a mistake by getting 7 Days to Die and The Forest, sure 7DtD isn't out yet while The Forest is leaving Early Access some time this year however they're still being developed and supported in the original vision of the devs with a lot of potential on the road ahead, unlike my example, Rust.

I also forgot to mention that their other 3 kickstarters were successfully backed and created.

I am snagging a copy once this ships in retail format. Offers "simplified" base building, whatever that means, enough to cater my interest, love CoH 1.

I just wish they have you know, terrain deformation, like high explosives making craters on the ground after they've hit. Good times making yellow cover for my airborne with satchel charges lol.
