Is it possible for anybody to convert or make WW1 models from somewhere?

I'm really interested in making a WW1 mod for this game however I am lacking models and the knowledge, skills and time needed to make them, even just a basic reskins for existing units would work, anything that would resemble a WW1 uniform or building or vehicle just whatever.

I have an idea of basing this off of other people's work on the workshop which is just marvelous (of course everybody will be properly credited) combined with my own ideas and some concepts from the Entente: Battlefields of WW1 game.

Thank you in advance and cheers.

Very difficult with the models that are available, it's the headgear more than anything. The closest I could find to anything remotely simular was the Voluteer of Portugal, sorry.:(

Can you show me an example of what you mean? I'd be really grateful for it.

    Not amused.

No worries dude. I am in no rush, take as much time as you need.

I just want to see if it will be usable or not, that's all.

Based on this image of a WW1 British Soldier.

Bear in mind, I am no artist, the following were created with 'Copy and Paste', and a lot of 'Clone Stamping'.

As I said previously, couldn't do anthing with the hat so I just matched it to the uniform.

That is indeed very nice, and I am guessing that you can do something like it for the Germans, only problem is that this would cover the 1914 uniforms and that's about it, altho that would probably be enough for a Trench Warfare based mod tho.

The other problem is the buildings and trenches themselves, and actually being able to garrison units in buildings and being able to fire out of them and so forth.

All in all, I think something along the lines of having Britain and Germany in 1914 battle it out by using walls as trenches and blockhouses as bunkers until something more proper can be done is possible, but then again I would need to figure out a way to encourage the construction of huge trench lines.

This would be a lot easier if American Conquest 2 was out but yeah... Anyhow, thank you and I'll think about it, you'll be notified and credited of course if I start work on it.

Cheers and have a nice day.

I'll have a go at a German Soldier, using the same 'jagerpor' model, might not be a lot different from the British, you are very limited with what you can change.:)

    Loosely based on this picture,

Not a lot different from the British,

Looks about right, good job. But yeah it's not that big of an issue as long as you can differentiate them when they're engaged.

Still tho, I'm hopeful of some new tools and HOPEFULLY American Conquest 2 once they finish all of this competitive stuff, the reason for that is because of the most recent patch that doesn't add too much, but still it adds some stuff that was requested like the trading between players. It's still nice to see and know that they haven't forgotten to support the game feature wise, altho extremely slowly.

Nice retextures, i thought you really wanted new models instead of reskins, since your title referred to models, not skins.

Retextures will do until proper models can be made or converted.

But I'll basically take anything right now as long as it helps me achieve a sort of WW1 feeling if I ever attempt to make the mod, and what Loner did is good enough for me to do that at least for the moment.
