Let's do a little quiz: Cossacks buildings

  1. Hi guys!

I would like to propose a little quiz about Cossacks buildings. Which are the real buildings in which GSC has inspired the Cossacks structures?

I share with all you a PDF file with my own discovered buildings, but there still are a lot we have to find! :)

    Do you know more?

The English Stables is based on Tower Bridge (silly, as with the townhall, as these buildings are late 19th century). Also King's College Chapel is in Cambridge, not London

  3. Updated! ;)
You can see the file corrected in the same link
Thank you very much. Do you know more real buildings?
I think all the community together can complete the whole list.

  4. Updated with some Swedish discoveries:

-Swedish Town Hall - Riddarholm Church
-Swedish Barracks 18th Century - Wrangel Palace

I am using the Cossacks I models because I don't have the Cossacks 3 ones, and currently in Cossacks 3 there are just 8 nations.

  5. Updated with some Swiss, Hungarian and Portuguese discoveries:

-Swiss Cathedral - Jesuit Church (Lucerne)
-Swiss 17th Century Barracks - Chillon Castle (Veyteaux)
-Swiss 18th Century Barracks - Thun Castle (Thun)
-Hungarian 17th Century Barracks - Vadjahundyad Castle (Budapest)
-Portuguese Diplomatic Center - Hieronymites Monastery of Bélem (Lisbon)

Do you know more buildings of your own countries? :)

Archbishop Palace in Prag could be the Diplomatic Center of Austria.

  7. I think you are totally right, RitterInRot.
The Archbishop's Palace in Prague is almost identical to the Cossacks model. I have updated the file with your discovery. Thanks a lot!

This can be a beautiful collaborative work for learning all together about Cossacks world and European culture ;)

Polish townhall in the game is that one townhall (ratusz) in Chelmno. :)

    You're welcome.
I'm from Hungary, but the other buildings is not familiar to me. Btw I'll find out somehow :)

  13. I love Hungary, I was there three years ago and I visited Budapest, Veszprém, Tihany, Szigliget, Keszthely, Heviz, Sárvár, Esterházy and Győr.
Amazing country, and the history of Hungary is really interesting :)

  16. I have added the Bavarian Town Hall, I think is pretty evident, thank you ;)

However, I have doubts about Austrian 17th Century Barracks. I thought first in Kreuzenstein castle, but checked in detail, it is really different than the Cossacks model. Recently, I have found the Heidenreichstein castle, which is more similar to the model, but I still have doubts.

You can now add Scotland to the list :D
I found three for them: their Castle's real name is Cawdor Castle
the town hall is Ballindalloch Castle
    Barracks 17c is Drumlanrig Castle
the Cathedral could be Dunkeld Cathedral, but I am not 100% sure

And Hungary's Town hall must be St. George's Cathedral in Temesvár/Timisoara:[IMG] [IMG]

Do you have a better idea?
Look at other pictures too, and you'll see. The only notable difference is the middle part between the towers is lowered, but it even has the same top half circle part. In Cossacks, no building is 100% "correct" anyway. I think the devs just edited it to their own liking.
