Hahaha.... If you want realism open your door. The only problem with that is if I open my door it won't be 1650 in Central Europe and I won't be in charge of an army.
I am extremely against morale systems in RTS games. Cossacks was an arcade - style RTS and wasn't meant to be realistic, if it was we would have 1 in 5 muskets misfiring, 30 second loading times and significantly less fun. If I build a unit I want it to do as I say, not decide to give up because of a few lucky cannon shots into the formation.
Gentlemen. This is a forum of ideas, opinions and discussion. make your point and counter point without personal attacks or I will delete the whole thing. Show respect for other members, they have the right to their views as do you.
Another great video. I know that it does not show anything new, in terms of combat or formations etc, but the detail on the units is brilliant and altogether it confirms that the visuals are pretty and the maps are going to look fantastic.
Wrong section of the forum. This topic is about news and updates and not about technical problems of the old game.
Traditionally we are adding a couple of screenshots from the latest video in original game's quality. Please take a look at the images without video compression.
Hi nice, but we want real gameplay. Maybe screenshots economics ? multiplayer, ships ? I am a veteran strategy game Nice to meet you all
Nice screens, but what I would like to see is a video of battle, with sound, smoke, and action! That is what Cossacks is all about!
Did I understand it right? It's first screenshots, then a couple of months later the video used for the screenshots and then it's screenshots from the very same video again? You've gotta be kidding me, right?^^ This is by far the worst marketing I've ever seen in my life. However, it's still fun^^
naaa the first screens were from spain and sweden, then came ukrain and this is france...but even so its nothing new so far.
Somet houghts and questions about the screenshots: Why is the Rider/Cuirassier wearing golden armor? Should't it look metallic or black? Gold was only used by some noblemen or ceremonial guards. But never to equipt whole squadrons. In the first game they looked much more realistic. That's how the armor for normal soldiers looked like -> http://www.überbunt.at/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/img_3160.jpg The priest infront of the very small doors looks very strange. The building sizes need to be modded at first. And I also wonder why so many startegy games use priests as healers. Thats very weird too. Because it wasn't and is still not their task to heal anyone. Medical troops/units like nurses and doctors would be much more realistic. Some more work for the modders ; / In the 18 Century they had ambulance wagons surgeons and nurses (male and female). I am still unhappy about the fact that the developers use so much polygons on some buildings but no normal mapping. The surfaces look flat. It reminds me on paper models. Compare paper models with plastic models and you know what I mean. I am afraid that a lot of people won't buy the game because of that oldschool look. At least there should be some anti aliasing options or some smoothing effects to compensate that. paper /cossacks 3 https://i2.wp.com/www.papercraftsqu...Japanese-House-Ver.3-Building-Paper-Model.jpg plastic / modern game http://www.modellbauland.ch/eshop/data/bilder/faller130394-2.jpg
From: Atem "We are woking hard and improving the game every day. There will be more materials in the nearest future." I think that we have to look forward to
Breastplate often covered with copper as you can see on this reiter and it has historically base. Actualy there no so much poligons in game models, nomal maps is abolished to achieve the best optimization of the game and hight FRPS
