We need more volunteers for the cannon crews!
This is a great idea, very time saving. We will be able to say the same thing over and over and if they ask each one of us then they will have multiple versions just like what they have now but without the wasted time.
Beta tester will be used each according to his country to man the cannon, those that don't have their country in the game can join a side according to their preference. The game come with an artillery manual including the use of cannon, hotwizer, mortar and multibarrel cannon as well as all the tool necessary to the good operation of said cannon.
It looks that GSC team waste of time for redundant interviews instead make real news, more screenshots and videos.
I wonder how many times they will repeat their speaches with already known informations? How many times they will propose that FAQ?
Sadly no new info in the last couple of interviews we have heard the exact same things answered over and over. I'd just be happy with some new screenshots to be honest.
It must be difficult if you are a small team to get the marketing side of things right. Especially if release dates and details of distribution are all still up in the air. At least there is not a stream of promises that will only lead to disappointment at release. Some other studios like to overstate their work in this way and it may build hype and sales but is more than a little upsetting when the reality does not meet the hyperbole.
Given the developers have given us some great games it falls to us to trust in them to deliver another addition to a classic genre that nowadays feels a little neglected.
Having said that I accept that, even if you crop out the UI if you do not want it to be seen, taking a screen shot of a few buildings or troops and uploading them onto the site would be a job that took ten minutes and would be a nice nod to the fan base.
News from VK 13.10.2015:
Казаки 3 | Козаки 3 | Cossacks 3
The development goes according to plan, while plans no moved)
Казаки 3 | Козаки 3 | Cossacks 3
Just now we are negotiating about the Collector's Edition. Here, much will depend on our partners and their interest. While it is difficult to say for sure.
Казаки 3 | Козаки 3 | Cossacks 3, How many percentage game is ready?
Казаки 3 | Козаки 3 | Cossacks 3
It is not easy to determine the percentage. somewhere 90. Now all the components are ready, and they folded together, because this game is quite in disassembled condition to show you something from it.
"The development goes according to plan, while plans no moved)"
It is quite fun trying to work out the meaning of some of the translations. Does it mean the development goes according to plan and plans have not changed? Or could it mean the development goes according to plan but plans can change?
Time will tell.
Ukrainian Сossacks day
Today, October 14th, we celebrate the Ukrainian Cossacks day! It is a national holiday in Ukraine. On this day we would like to release two new screenshots of Cossacks 3 game and to show some photos of the military historical reconstruction of the 17-18th centuries where some of the Cossacks 3 team members took part.
Awesome! More of this! Also thanks for this!
See some dead solders there.
Also some of the first troops from Algeria as well.
Nice, but the buildings do look a little small.
I swear I see some roads down there, with pack mules delivering resources on them.
New pictures, hurra !! Ottoman units look really good (the french too but I prefer ottoman/Algeria ?/Turkey ? for the look) !
We now know how look, Janissary, oriental pikemen, officer and drum, light infantry/bashi-bouzouk ?, Spahi, Tatars.
I'm wondering in the french screenshot, the cavalrymen in the bottom right seems like XVIII dragoon and in front of them a officer I don't remember having seen.
Is the mine one the mountain or just constructed near to give this feeling ? I hope it's on it, at least it really seems like it !
Just to nitpick the dead horsemen look quite strange, like the standing model was just put down on the ground.
Could we have one day the full team of Cossacks on historical clothes from the XVII-XVIIIth century ?
It's looking alright, what they need is to release the damn game already.
HAPPY UKRAINE COSSACKS DAY!
Today I've got propose from Atem to be the part of the project and collect all community's questions to him and for do answer on them.
So please leave here your most importent questions and I will deliver them to GSC.
It looks very pretty, bright and colourful and the level of detail when zoomed in is great. Being very familiar with the map editor from C1 and AC the maps look like 3d versions of what you could create in those games. So the roads are just colour with a texture with the mules placed for aesthetic appearance and the mine will probably be nicely placed to look like it is leading into the hillside. That is not criticism, map making was all about the clever placing of objects and the editors in the previous games were fantastic with limitless possibilities. I can see little fences and carts and all sorts of vegetation and stones with which to make amazing looking maps. Cannot wait.
Condor_fly, here you have http://www.cossacks3.com/forum/inde...ead-what-is-your-most-important-question.235/
Looking nice. Good to see some Ottoman troops and the French finally. Just waiting on some English and ship screen shots now.
Very nice pictures. That kind of news I was waiting for.
I would like to know if there will be any blood or gore in this game? In Cossacks I there was a lot of blood around the corpses. In AC and C2 there was no blood at all. Also the corpses disappeared to fast. I think it looks more like a realistic battlefield with blood effects and corpses laying on the ground. Will the developers add those later?
Hmm, two screenshots and two photos are better than nothing, but these are not enough for celebrate the Ukrainian Cossacks day I suppose. Nevertheless it is good that they at last show something new.
However I am less excited than other fans here. These screenshots make some mixed feelings.
They show some new units, buildings and landscape etc. I wonder will these very detailed and colorful things inflict some troubles with lags when 7 players will play with thousands units, hundreds buildings and lot of other elements?
Such case is already known from C2 game, even there could play only 2 or 4 players.
Presented on screenshots big foresets, ground elevations, mountains, many buildings and other elements could cramp free place for buildings constructions and combats. I wonder how big and transparent will maps in C 3 game?
Small buildings are acceptable, but formations needs some improvements e.g. four ranks lines looks little bit strange.
Three ranks were standard infantry line formations in 18th c. Two ranks cavalry formations also looks better.
Few units are strange e.g. Roundashir with shields are better for 16th century, than for 17th c. I suppose.
Artillery guns still have not gunners, only strange fanion bearer and guarding units.
Few types of carts and wagons looks fine, but where are the horses for them?
There are pack horses, so it would be good include horse drawn supply carts or wagons too.
Horse drawn wagons would be fine elements in the game which could add more realistic look and new logistic aspects.
It would be fine change cereals plants size and shape, make them little bit bigger and split by two or four crossing roads to windmill. These bigger, split plants and roads could inform players about food production capasity.
Bigger, but split on four plants could represent four cereals: wheat, rye, barley and oats plants.
These pants could recreate sawing, growing, harvesting and ploughing seasons.
Are GSC taking any notice of whats being said on here, with over 80% of members who voted wanting cannon crews, up till now there has been no evidence that this will happen.
Separate names with a comma.
