In the release version there will be no cannon crews, but as we already told many times, after release we will keep on updating the game. Modders could also add all that kind of stuff. This thing doesn't affect gameplay in any way but could take development time.

So, the first batch of questions generated by me today went, and you can wait for answers.
On the first set of questions, which, due to changes in the timing, pushed geymlay questions into the background.
At the moment, there are three urgent issues:
    1. As previously stated deadlines have already passed when to expect pre-order and betatest?
    2. System requirements for "iron"? For example, a specific basic parameters (core speed, RAM and video memory) of the weakest computer on which to run the alphatest of the game.
    3. How much will the pre-order costs, limit?

In the second cluster of questions of gameplay:
    1. You probably already a little "drive" units on the map, please describe in detail how they move and how different is to manage units in Cossacks3 from Cossacks1?
    2. Will the characteristics of the units the same as they were in C1 (the time of construction, the impact force / shot, protection, armour), as a noticeable lack of cuirasses, such as officers of the 17th century?
    3. Will the prices for upgrades in the academy and barracks the same as in C1 were: particularly interested in the upgrade of +300% to the reserch of stone, which gave a strong advantage in the efficiency of gethering of the resource, is there will be the new upgrades?
    4. At the moment we know about a new unit - Ukrainian's ship "The Seagull", and therefore the question of what it will look like in terms of gameplay - whether it would like Hustler yacht 18th century or reduced quick-Algerian xebec, or both?
    5. Will the special effects in the game such as the blood of the fallen, changing time of day and / or time of year?
    6. Will the game options (starting resources, market conditions, depcenter, century, peace time, with the ball / no) are the same as in Cossacks1 or we should wait the new options?
    7. Will there be a single server for multiplayer or more and will it be for pay (sould we buy the keys)?

Condor_fly, FAQ thread , what is your most important question already exist
    http://www.cossacks3.com/forum/inde...ead-what-is-your-most-important-question.235/

There are many questions in "News and updates discussion" and other threads too.
Fans asked several pages of questions. Did not you notice these questions?

So many questions were asked and many still have not any answers.
Do you suggest that this time developers will give real answers, becouse they promised these for you?

Let's better developers make some more screenshots and vidoes for C3 gameplay.
These will tell more than their written answers. This way they will not waste their time for doing many answers too.

  6. One thing we can tell from new screenshots is that there will be no side-arms, so to speak swords for shooters and so on, as we can clearly see Janissaries or Tatars aren't bearing any sword or spear, axe or whatever. Means that non-bayoneted rangers will be useless at melee once again. I was tricked to think the contrary at first from what we saw on the French Chasseurs or the Ukrainian Serdjuk (they bear a straight sword in their 3D model) but it seems like they are just eye-candy, since janissaries aren't equipped with swords.
What is looking weird is giving Ottoman pikemen long cavalry sabers while the Janissaries don't have any melee weapon, because they'd all bear at least a yatagan normally, and even shields. Janissary are supposed to be polyvalent elite troops, too bad they are stuck in this "meh 17th c. shooters" role, because they could've compensated the lack of 18th c. bayoneted shooters for Ottomans.

Do you ever play Empire mod for CossacksBW1.35? There is jegers-shooters of 19 cent. with great shoot power and very increase bayonetes melee power, but in close ranges they are attacking with their non-effective melee weapon and loose fight - not good

It would be good implement double weapons system in C3 game. Then units could shot and fight in melee.
C2 game already had such abilities e.g. Cuirassiers, Dragoons, Chaseurs a Cheval, Hussars, Mamelukes etc.

Jegers of course had some glitches, but these are easily fixable. For instance I changed Jegers formation's size, shape, fire power and they can fight with bayonets only in self defence. I do believe that more experienced developers easily could make such implementation for C 3 game.

  9. Well just tell them to hold the position then, they'll keep shooting no matter what.

    Ok I'll try:)
they only holding at their positions but still use their bayonetes at close range and die

That looks correct. Bayonets are for close range combats. Jegers were weaker in such combats, becouse they usually were not numerous and smaller men. That's why they had little chance to win in melee combats. In close range they can shortly defend themselves, weaken enemy, retreat, surrender or die.

I am sorry this is insane idea. I prefer more historicaly accurate and more realistic gameplays.
Hand grenades were shortly used by few units in specific situations, mainly against men. Hand grenades can not destroy stong buildings as we can see in cossacks games.

Hand grenades were cumbersome, tricky to ignite and dangerous also for thrower, that's why such grenades were rarely used and soon abandoned. Developers could eliminate hand grenades at all.

My friend, insane is to be illiterate in history.
You don't want more historically accurate and more realistic game-play, what you want is fantasy !

    Proof :

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bomb
Bombs were used since 1221, long before Cossacks time-frame (1600-1800).

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_grenade
Hand Grenades were used since 717-741 Byzantine period. By the time 960–1279AD they were already in metal containers.

    Just read the links.
Hand grenades and bombs were never abandoned.

Having 1 hand grenade as pikeman, and throwing it before entering combat and having that 1 hand grenade replenished after the fight is over and the unit survived is not game breaker. It gives different flavors to different countries, right now all nations play the same (just different HP/attack). Even artillery is the same for almost all nations. And this is historically inaccurate and more like fantasy.

In reality every nation was quite different and had different weapons and tactics.

    Read the links please.

I am sorry, but you are wrong.

    1. I do not want fantasy, I want more historically accurate and more realistic game-play.
Read my C3 wish list and few other threads where I presented my suggestions for C 3 game.

    2. I said nothing against bombs fired with mortars or different tactics and weapons.

    3. Hand grenades in practice were abandoned, read about grenadiers case which borrow their names from hand grenades, but soon they abandoned hand grenades, becouse these inflicted many troubles for them.

    4. Pikemen also abandoned hand grenades, becouse these were troublesome. Bear in mind that long pike was not easy to carry together with sword, armor, helmet, other equipment and heavy hand grades.

    5. I mentioned that hand grenades were used in specific situations. The game do not recreate these cases properly.
Therefore better is eliminate hand grenades than implement them badly.

Read some historical books then you will better understand what I mean there.

I don't think they will implement anything you suggest.
The game will simply be a C1 + new graphics when launched.

If you want the game you dream you learn game design and make your own game. Sad but true.

History is written by the victorious and is full of propaganda.

Books don't tell the truth, the writters only take your money.

If you want realistic buy a pike or musket and go kill some people.
If you want a game then you want it to be fun - not like real life since you don't want to think that the game = real life.

Or who knows maybe you prefer to think games = real life and you want 100% simulations of real life which is boring.

I play the games for fun. More realistic and more historically accurate game is more fun for me.
I do not need to kill anybody. I want to see more realistic RTS game.
Games are not real life and I do not need 100% simulations of real life.

    OK.

Having a technology tree and being able to chose something different each game makes each nation unpredictable.
Otherwise the game gets boring eventually.

Just replace bombs/grenades with unlocking something else more realistic and accurate.
I was giving an example there.
