Nowy, This is a warning. If you hijack one more thread to advance your opinions on what C3 should be you will be banded permanently. I have tried to allow free speech, and freedom of opinions here, but you have tested this to the limits. It has gotten to the point that you are flooding the forum with your rhetoric. The very definition of a troll. I personally share much of your passion, but I am far removed from your rude, and single minded rant against a game you refuse to even purchase and support. That's enough! Daddio and his poor fellows consantly attacks me, delete posts, false accuse, provoke and cramp discussion. They destroy free speach and freedom on this forum. I can not tolerate any more their bad behaviours. Is there a bad Daddio and a good Daddio, like bad Santa and good Santa? Although I may suffer from tunnel vision, I have only experienced the good Daddio. To lighten things up a bit in our virtual, online world, a quiz- If I were standing on the deck of a ship and there were two people in the water, one a decent person and one maybe not, and I had one life preserver to throw into the shark infested sea, to whom would it be thrown?

If the water was full of sharks it would make no difference unless they can get back to the boat. Don't ban NOWY please, he can be annoying but I quite enjoy the banter. I'm sure he has more than one account anyway
I actually like a lot of Nowy's ideas...I'd be (and I'm sure others would be, too) a lot more receptive to them if a) he was a bit nicer about everything and b) he actually tried implementing them himself, though. The devs have done an amazing job in making the game so maleable to those willing to learn to mod it!
[PR]Ernest is correct, this is not a thread to discuss Nowy. In my warning to Nowy I stated that I too share many of his passions and ideas about a different and better game. But he has hijacked numerous threads pushing his desires on others as to why he hates the current game, starting arguments, and totally shutting down the intended subject on the thread. As a moderator I must prevent this. If you want to support Nowy, as you should if you agree with him, You can start a thread in the off topic and discuss it all you want. But this thread is about the patch and is not for such things.
So funny I stopped following and playing the game for one month and when I come back and I take a look at it.......... guess what ? Nothing has changed
There have been so many updates to the game over this last month it was massive. My guess is that what you were looking for was not changed?
He possibly means the performance problems. For me Cossacks 3 did not change, too. When it came out the performance problems were horrible and the game was unplayable. At the moment the performance problems became better but it is still unplayable. All the other updates and improvements are not important because the game was unplayable because of the lag and performance problems and it still is unplayable. We must hope that the developers can fix this problem. Otherwise all the other updates are senseless. This might be the reason why so many players stopped playing the game.

Yes let' s talk about the patch notes, oh no we already said everything right ? Just read intelligent people threads like Mustang's one above. But I'm very nice, I am patient with slow minded people so again, what makes people say nothing has changed about cossack 3. First of all, just regarding the buildings and units, there is nothing more but a 5 euros patch which brings 2 nations and does'nt change other nations at all. That means you already got a 20 euros game, whose mark is 9 on 20 which is a very very bad mark... and obviously everybody was looking for a LOT of updates which would change A LOT OF THE CURRENT UNPLAYABLE GAME, but what happened ? A few patches to fix the graphics and game mechanics and bugs already existing, and finally, 5 euros more in the pocket of lazy devs for a very light work... that's actually worse than blizzard... what were we looking for ? What haven't thé devs, for some reason, understood from the customers ? - Fixed balancing, I'm not gonna tell you all what have been said before about some units and nations... - New mechanics, slow reload time which is Gatling gun reload rate, ridiculous of course. - Change the unit mechanics and the gameplay in general, that means make the game strategic, with REAL technologic choices, unit countering each other, artillery useful but not too much, cavalry having some charge or something nice to turn them from a stupid melee unit to a fast and tactic unit, sharpshooters, new units for some countries like camel riders for Algeria or Galeass for Venicia. The naval battle is a very important aspect of the game so make it more playable, and adding nice stuff. Turn trees and vegetation into a cover for ground troops. -Make new maps ? - Make multiplayer nice to play ? With a bit of competition ? - Add mods ? ... - Add buildings ? - Add musics and sounds ? You see that's only a few of the things we were waiting for, and we would be already very glad if you would have done the half of it, but you haven't accoumplished even the fiftyth. Good luck for keeping customers on, good luck for selling your game. I hope I will get a lot of agreed threads and of course, insults and ban from the half of this stupid community who like playing brutal and stupid games where you spam units and destroy your mouse Ah and only the truth hurts, that's why you're trying to shut Nowy down... very stupid, you are not even ashaming me
Nath, you can do all these modifications yourself, takes about 30 minutes or so and requires notepad and a keyboard. There are two files in Data>>Scripts>>lib. The two files are "unit" for unit alterations and "country" for upgrades (all types). To help you understand better, see the string below which I have copied from my modified file units, this is for the Pandur and concerns damage, reload time and range only: SetObjBaseWeapon(objprop, objbase, weapInd, 39, 250, default, 850, default, default, default, True); The fourth integer, which in this case is represented by 39, is the damage before upgrades. Next one, 250 in this case, is reload time. The higher - the longer. I found 300-325 for the 17c musketeer to be adequate for my taste, one shot and if melee infantry is not present, enemy gets to the musketeers. If the second +35% upgrade is done, they`d get another shot. Cavalry can tease them to shoot and then charge. To counter the higher damage, I also increased armor protection (doubled it with the exception being the Cuirassier which got it trippled and Vityaz unchanged). Following the string above, you can alter any damage, reload/attack time and etc. Just find the unit (cid case of) and you can fix it easily. If this is not against the rules, I would happily send you both files modified, PM me for the full list of changes as there`s a lot and they change the gameplay/use of units. There is a folder for the music - you can add anything there - as well as a detailed guide on how to do it, its easy. You can even modify and add soldiers, uniforms and etc. although I find the process very time consuming and prone to errors. I failed doing this when I tried, so save a backup copy of the file under modification before to apply any changes to it.
My motivation for the game is completely gone. I haven't touched Cossacks 3 for the last 2 months. Just like Mustang has stated: The performance issues in games with big armies are just horrible. Too many mistakes have been made. Thats why just 1/5 of the people who played in september are still playing. Perhaps there have been updates over the terrible lags until now. But the lag and other bugs are still there as many people clearly state here and on steam forum. Sad but true, the game has flopped. I keep playing Cossacks back to war... way more fun.
