    if players cant use winged hussar effectively, its not problem of balance, its problem of players who cant use them)

    I must try the cossacks rush in quick play but the decreasing of training time doesnt sound good.. though you maybe right ..l

    I've tested it extensively and concluded It does lie in the rate of fire and that having more barracks does not help.

    - you need 4 Russian barracks to BEGIN to have a slight advantage in production over Polish/Hungarian/Dutch 17c musketeers.
    - the above means that at 20 pt you will have roughly the same amount of shooters as the aforementioned nations.
    - provided your opponent does have a brain too and will most likely make sure he protects his shooters like you suggested, you are left with the ridiculous rate of fire disadvantage once you get in range: a Polish/Hungarian/Dutch musketeer can shoot almost twice as fast as a Strelet, which means almost twice the damage per second.
    - since there's nothing left for Russia above 20pt (expensive stables and no 18c unique unit), the conclusion is Russia is useless in anything other than 0-10pt.

    All is alright I think strrlets neednsome boost and winged hissars as well. At least their max hp could be higher than hingarian hussars or same lol,

    Considering strelets are so famous for the massive axes they had, I think they need a melee attack, most of all

    In editor we can see Piedmont and Switzerland. Can not create their buildings or units but in unit list we can see new unique units names :

    Piedmont:
    Priest, 18c. Dragoon
    Switzerland- Jager, Pikeman, Hussar (where is Swordsman?)

    That too! Why bother modeling those shining beautiful axes anyway if they can't be used?

    They have an axe but if you are attacked with peasant with 1 hp , peasant will beat crap of them :-D

    People want to play without artillery,
    but then, dragoons and other powerfull shooting units suddenly seem OP.

    With cannons, you can just shoot them off their hill, decimate them,
    and after that, bring in your fast cavalry and capture enemy positions.

    If you take 1 piece away, you have to change the whole game and thats what's happening and not all for the better.
    Artillery brings balance.

    This game is turning from a spicey meatball into saltless oatmeal.

    That's a real problem. We forgot pikeman and roundshiers and etc. Musketeer and dragoon playing style is good. But this armoured playing style is also good. Artillery is another option. I'm very indecisive, now. Changing game style against the enemy is very important.

    People complaining about Winged hussars have a biased opinion. They probably play Poland quite a lot and enjoy their superb cavalry: either their numerous light reiters, or their Hussars, which are almighty among the other fast cav units and don't really need a buff. Most of the patch changes really consider the current gameplay and try to tweak unbalanced things.

    When it comes to the debates about using fast cavalry, artillery or even mercenary in addition to 'regular' units, I still recommend playing in fast speed instead of very fast. This would enable to:
    - make good use of cav or fast cav, instead of just packing them with the rest of the army because it's more convenient
    - add the "military strategy" dimension to the game, use every unit to its full potential (including arty and possibly ships). And this is great news for the balance of the game, as it is logical that the faster a unit is, the weaker it should be at fighting. -> Less balance tweaks needed.
    - (Consequently) increase the overall level of the game
    - reduce the number of poor mistakes like letting one's army charge into a lost battle, not deleting one's arty or mine before its capture (and YES I've seen it plenty of times in high level games)
    - let players play correctly with formations (yes, so many players still complain that they don't have time to put their soldiers into formations...)
    - focus on a good management of one's resources, instead of just immediately trading at the market when you run out of a resource
    - have time to spread guards correclty inside cities, so that easy cossack raids don't capture half of the city
    - ... I can't be exhaustive, there are so many possible improvements in macro & micro.

    The general idea here is that the 'realistic' game speed makes the game more pleasant to watch, more balanced and provides us with higher level games. I know that lots of Cossacks 1 players would say I'm saying nonsense, but I really think that C3 is badly influenced by C1 and its multiplayer game speed. And other fast-paced RTS like Starcraft 2. But I'm sure that C3 is not meant to be played this way.
