Can anyone advice me how to play against those nations in the title? I always have troubles to face Serdiuks and Tatars. Are there any useful tactics to defeat them?
I have no to claim the good tactician but I have a humble suggestion for you.When you played against Turkey or Ukraine You should use very different tactics. If you played against Turkey. You'd prefer cavalry raids and very strong infantry formations. If your enemy uses very large Tatar formations. You can use diplomatic cossacks or stable units against them. Because of them-Tatars- are very good mounted archer. All sword units can beat them easily. Ukraine units of Serdiuk is one of the best shooting units of this game. They are overpowered all of other country's musketeers. If you played against Ukraine. You should use pikemen and musketeers formations-120,196 or maybe 400 men formations- or pikemen and strong cavalry force like formation of 90,160 units. If you had a peace time you should try this tactics. Otherwise you should prevent to produce more serdiuk units and hit them their cossacks hall- I mean their barracks- with your cavalry or infantry force at the beginning of the game. Another solution; Maybe diplomatic grenadiers or dragoons can solve your problems.
Vs ukraine if pt 10 or no pt. Build diplomatic centre as fast you can and make tons of light infantry and pikemen going for their base. Push them without a pause sacrifice economy to push further. You will win. If game is 20 pt you are doomed. Vs turkey the thing is jannisaries are pretty good at shooting and they get cover of tatars. Formations will be your doom. Since archers and tatars deal pretty easy with all kinds of formations. You should spread your force or make tons of sich cossacks from dc and hussars. Once fight starts and you might meet enemy force. Attack like crazy with all you have ans then use your melee cavalry. Deep within enemy to kill jannisaries. Once you are done with them any melee unit might kill tatars. Even though you have just 200 pikes and are against 500 tatars just spread them dont use thivk formations.
